The first-generation BMW 1 Series remains a staple rear-wheel-drive tuning platform. However, pushing serious horsepower quickly exposes factory bottlenecks—especially high exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) and heat soak on track or during back-to-back pulls.

• Hybrid Turbos: Our upgraded hybrid turbochargers for both petrol and diesel engine 1 Series models feature oversized billet compressor wheels, upgraded thrust bearings, and machined turbine housings. They flow significantly more air mass than stock units while maintaining fast spool characteristics.

• Stepped Bar-and-Plate Intercoolers: Lower charge air temperatures (IATs) and prevent heat-induced timing pull. Designed as direct-fit units utilizing existing OEM mounting points and boost pipes.

• Decat & High-Flow Downpipes: Free up restrictive factory catalytic converters on 135i and diesel variants (N47/M47). Reducing turbine backpressure allows your turbo to spool several hundred RPM sooner while supporting custom Stage 2 and Stage 3 ECU calibrations.

Fitment & Compatibility FAQ

• Are these parts direct replacement? Yes. All our intercoolers, downpipes, and hybrid units are engineered to fit OEM brackets, v-bands, and sensors without chassis cutting.

• Will a downpipe trigger an engine management light (EML)? Catless variants will require a Stage 2 ECU tune or O2 spacer to remove the catalyst efficiency fault code.
